Cristopher Gavalis: Yes it is legal. 1 extra hour per day is not bad in my opinion.
Mee Blumenfeld: As long as your paid for it its legal. One hour isn't bad, my wife usually works 2-4 hours extra everyday as an engineer. If its too much for you, you can always get a different job.
Kizzy Hett: There can be a lot of variable at play, size of company, does company have shops outside the state, most likely its legal or the company wouldnt risk mandating it. The best place to check is the Employment Comission in your state.
Maynard Phoubandith: Your employer sets the work schedule -- not the employees. He has a right to demand consistent overtime. Truly your only options are to either work that an extra time or find another job.There are lots of folks who would love to have that overtime pay if you decide to give up the job!
