Solomon Belback: You need to talk to your parents since they will have to pay for it. A DNA test will tell you about a very distant ancestor, long before there were records. If you want to know where all of your great great grandparents came from, you will have to do the research.

A simple swab sample of your inner check cells will do just fine. This type of test will reveal a lot about where you and your clan originally came from. It's very interesting stuff!
Pattie Vold: I think that you mean "a DNA test", and no, they don't have to take blood. They take a swab of the inside of your mouth in the several that I have seen.
