Ruthe Real: Do what you're comfortable with. If you think the tutor is wrong in saying that, then go with your gut. You know your strengths better than anyone else. What I would do is check out what the visual arts course has to offer (through research by asking/checking your school's site) and then make up my mind.If you feel better sticking with photography and graphic design, definitely go for it!But if you work better with your hands - i.e. a sketch of your creation vs. a digital portrait of it - then visual arts would be great.Be honest with yourself though; it's not all about pleasing everyone else.
