Primary Education???

Lashawnda Anteby: There are definite clarifications necessary here to make this a quantifiable question. This sounds like a British education system, but I cannot be for sure. I am more accustomed to one primary education, not two, unless you count public versus private as two. Age group is pretty standard in most states, with some variation. Washington requires K students to start at 6 years, where most others require K students to start at 5 years. Having said that, the breakdown is fairly simple:K - 51st - 62nd - 73rd - 84th - 95th - 106th - 11Here is a break from Elementary to Middle School. Again, some school districts may include the 6th grade, but not all.7 - 128 - 13Another break into high school with ages ranging from 14 - 18, most students graduating high school after their 18th birthday....Show more

Donita Desjardin: You really need to say where your education system is, i.e. what country.Where I teach, compulsory education is split into 4 levels. 6! /7 to 9 years of age = level 1, 9/10 to 12 = level 2, 12 to 14/15 = level 3,15 to 18 is level 4 (this level falls outside of 'compulsory')....Show more
