Laveta Fathy: I would bring in the game. Your friends are interested in that particular game so I don't think it will matter that one piece is a little different. Most people who play board games are accustomed to using their imaginations and can go along with the fact that the piece is a little different. From your description is doesn't sound as if it will affect the play, so bring Break the Safe to school and I am sure it will work out just fine.
Bibi Tyron: It depends on what kind of piece it is. How important is it that the piece looks like the one that came with the game? If it's just not as good looking as the real piece, then I don't expect you should have a problem. If it's functional, you can play the game fine. But if the piece depends on something more important that you can't copy properly, and using your improvised piece will change the way the game is played, you should probably bring in a different game.
