Is this beer always so horrible?

Russ Kiernan: Or, try Sprite. Or Ginger Ale.

Particia Thorton: I used to drink Pink Lemonade Brunettes, but after a month or so of pregaming with this, it's hard to keep taking shots of it. What else would i like? Preferably something sweet and yummy like the pink lemonade, and CHEAP. Also, nothing TOO sweet... I was thinking of getting Malibu, but it's just too sweet to take shots with and is more likely to give me a hangover. Is Barcardi Razz a good choice? What are more options?

Filiberto Amauty: vodka

Raymon Fiene: a cherry and a match

Hunter Osterberger: Actually some brewers still know how to brew nice IPA beer. Its not so much the bitterness as the lack of balance that turns my stomach with some modern versions. I drink Pilsners, a style well know for its pure balance of malt and hop bitterness. The IPA is the counter style of the same in the Ale type-category of beer. My advise is to try a variety of Pilsners and IPA over time and discern ! through the style and then decide if its all to horrible for you. Otherwise, its well enough that you know what you like and continue with them. To the bloated people here.I have a much more developed and mature palate that you Rich (Mayor) and I too am not much fond of IPA. Sure I will have one but it must be well balanced and brewed in a manner that represents good brewing practice. The double and imperial sub-styles go afoul of this and are abominations to true brewers anywhere. Step down from your self-Exalted position as beer judge demigod because you are not worthy. You want rubbish people, read this answer?"As others have written, IPAs tend to be very bitter - some extraordinarily bitter. IPAs are for the mature and experienced palate; they are not for the tyro. If you persevere you will eventually develop a taste for complex beers like IPAs - but it won't happen quickly. For those like Michael, whose palate has not yet developed, the US mass-market chemical rubbish! brewers have developed beers like "Natural Light" whose taste! is as near to that of water as makes no difference.""IPAs are for the mature and experienced palate"No! They are for the person that likes them. Period. "... If you persevere you will eventually develop a taste for complex beers like IPAs.."Oh? And you know this about him, any person, how? Perhaps a person will never develop an interest or taste for this style of beer. Its arrogant and aloof to assume that you know what any person will come to prefer. "For those like Michael, whose palate has not yet developed"Oh? And you know this about him, any person, how? Perhaps a person will never develop an interest or taste for this style of beer. Its arrogant and aloof to assume that you know what any person will come to prefer. '"... the US mass-market chemical rubbish brewers have developed beers like "Natural Light" whose taste is as near to that of water as makes no difference."'True arrogance and rot with falsehood. What chemicals do you mean by this, please edit and let us ! know. If you have the superior palate that you falsely claim, then you would have a more descriptive way of describing this beer than your second rate answer shows. What a joke.To this other hockey fan jerk. When you can intelligently explain flavor in beer beyond "bitterness" let us all know....Show more

Tommy Durrenberger: I like Bass, Hoegaarden, Red Stripe, Leinenkugel, and some other "tastier" beers, but I hate IPA's. Every one I've tried was just too bitter and I have yet to get through one complete bottle of the stuff.

Randall Twehous: The intense bitterness is not for every beer drinker. Hey its great you got to try it. Most beer drinkers never hear of other types or styles of beer. Consider yourself beer educated past the majority of drinkers. Get yourself set on what you like and keep drinking that but don’t be weary of trying other beers cause you still might find your favorite out there still.

Gaylord Barragan: Use tommorow as a goal, look in! to something instead of wine, maybe coffe or a protein bar. Keep your b! ody energized and stay hydrated to keep focused.

Dick Ovdenk: Amaretto would be a good choice for you. Or southern comfort. Maybe some Carolina Iced TeaIngredients: * 1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort * 1 oz Spiced rum (Captain Morgan's) * 1 oz Peach schnapps * 1/2 oz Vodka (or more to taste) * 4-6 oz sweet Iced tea Nah...Show more

Jade Ohno: Parrot Bay. But I make fun of people that drink it and all of the things you have mentioned, aside from Bacardi. Stop being a girl and drink like you have a little bit of courage.

Nannie Kasee: Lol you dont like high hop content. IBU(international bittering units) Content for IPA's are very high (meaning they are very bitter beers). Actually I love the stuff, especially those using a lot of Cascade and Saaz(finishing) hops lending a citrus taste."These fools think IPA is the end all for beer." - hrm never heard of that (figured the beer snobs always migrated to the darkest cr@p you can find whether its good o! r not), they are awesome in the summer I agree. I actually like them if I am standing out in the elements in the winter time too, I'll usually brew some up when I attend winter (car) rally events. Also to the OP, some IPA's are bitter for the sake of being bitter and not balanced, you might want to not completely cross it off your list and maybe give another go with a different brand....Show more

Lourie Mcroberts: Feeling so bored. But if I get the work done today I can do something fun with a friend tomorrow as its a holiday. But I feel I need another dimension to help me cope with the tedium of work. It requires so much focus and I have such a pile of papers to go through. Help!

Elmo Tervo: You're doing it wrong. The entire point of a shot glass - the very reason a shot glass is made the way it is - is to make it easy to consume a volume of alcohol without tasting it.Why is a shot glass an ounce and a half? Because you can't swallow more than that in one gulp. ! Why is it wider at the mouth with straight sides? So the alcohol leaves! the glass with no splash. A shot glass was made for frontier whiskey. Tilt your head back, toss it down the gullet, bypassing the tongue and mouth. Oh sure, most bars will be happy to sell you a Redheaded Cooter or a Succulent Vulva or whatever innuendo laden concoction of cheap schnapps they can think of because the profit margins are incredible, but sooner or later it's time to drink like you've done it before. If you really have to drink kid liquor then at least order it as a cocktail and enjoy it....Show more

Torrie Weissenbach: LOL, I remember a friend of mine bringing over a case of Iron horse beer, ewh, no one drank it. I made my friend drink it everytime he came over. The're are some beers out there, you have say WTF.

Willis Liburd: Sounds as if you already have good motivation. Alcohol and grading don't mix.

Delmer Pectol: Because all of those options are the cheapest available beers. Coming from a college students standpoint, most people in their! early twenties chose those beers over others because they are cheaper. It certainly doesn't mean that we like those more, but it's usually all about price. I don't think anyone drinks those because they think they taste better than their more expensive counter parts. I'm more of a fan of imported, IPA, Pale Ales, etc. With that said, I do usually chose to pay the extra dollar for a Dos XX then settle for a Bud Light....Show more

Cliff Jacoby: Royal ****, Kamikaze, Sex on the Beach, Buttery Nipple, Sex with an Alligator, Red Headed Sluts, Hot Sex, dont shoot bacardi razz it's rum doesn't make a real girly shot and it's just not as smooth as vodka- try a raspberry vodka chilled with a sugar rim, splash of sprite and a lemon wedge, You can do shots of Malibu with Baileys (coconut cream pie) Ocean water (malibu, splash of Blue Curacao, splash of sprite), Chocolate Cake, ever tried Hypnotiq or X Rated fusion liqueur? Those two can be chilled or chilled add a splash of spr! ite. Alien Secretion. Scooby Snack, Apple Pucker, Watermelon Pucker (ag! ain can be chilled and optional splash of sprite. Anything can be made stronger with a little vodka and keep in mind that most flavored vodkas are usually 5% less alcohol than regular vodka....Show more

Monroe Rainey: Pour over ice.

Mark Hovanes: Thats why you stick to good ole' Natural Light. about 15 dollars for a 30 pack. cheap, fun, and tastes relatively well. it works.

Micah Schwarcz: OK first of all, the beers you named are all brands of beer. India Pale Ale aka IPA is not a brand of beer, it is a type of beer that tends to be 'hoppy" due to hops (plants used in the flavoring of beer and other herbal concoctions). Many microbrewed beers are IPA's. Other types of beer include, pale ales, stouts, pilsners, ambers, etc. So essentially this question can be unanswered since no one knows the specific brand that you drank. Not all IPA's taste the same even though they go through similar brewing processes. Can you be more specific? Maybe you just don't like ! the taste of the hops. They can sometimes be more strong tasting and bitter....Show more

Dawn Saha: I was going to fix up a AMF for myself after a hard days work. but there is no 7up to finish the drink. So far i have tequila, rum, vodka, gin, sweet & sour mix, blue curacao in my drink.what finishing touch do i need for my drink ?? besides 7up....Show more

Rona Ising: No.

Elinore Schlinker: LoL. Well now you gone and done it, you insulted the beer s! nobs. These fools think IPA is the end all for beer. I like some IPA in! the Summer but take to the fuller Pale Ales and Amber styles much more.
