Thomas Riner: Old before your years. Everything I have been trying to think of, recapture (if I ever had it at all), consonance, the poetic language couching meaning - and that meaning - shouldn't we all be afraid of that future?Prescient, gifted - you are a gift.
Claude Gloden: Hi Joker I'm a caring person & I also know & have many people who also care the mistake is made when judging & assuming that all of Society doesn't & yes life is precious sometimes we have to slow down a bit & see the kindness in people. When a person is cynical that's who they attract but when a person is genuinely a nice person that's who they attract. It's like the saying Birds of a feather flock together.Stop & smell the roses OK & look for the little things you'll see them OK...Show more
Blair Abdi: Sometimes i hate that I care so much, sometimes i get annoyed at myself for caring.
Elbert Donatelli: the first line is already too many,a-big-place-where-i-can-be-ev-er-y-daythe! rest looks good, but im not quite sure!good luck!...Show more
Warren Kotter: I went to the store, it was a grand ole time,I found a row full of candy, flavor lemon-lime.Down to the meat section, baby back ribs.I should've told him I was coming, instead I fib.Heâs sitting at home, without even a clue,I feel kind of bad, but he would've knew,That I was being bad, stealing all the candy.I couldn't tell anyone, I feel like a dandy. No, not like that, just having some fun,I don't participate in entertaining the bum.Back in the store I meander through the rows,I look at the people and the sandals with toes.I smell the air, the funk, and the odor that stands,Someone offers me a sample, there's no glove on that hand!A tear rolls down my cheek...eating it may turn me into a freak......Show more
Ricardo Rozelle: Good whimsical beginning but everything after the "sandals with toes" line needs to be trashed.
Lyman Gauld: Hi Joker. I totally agree with you on this on! e. Not me though. I will go out of my way to be kind or helpfu! l to people i know, or ones i don't know. It always makes me feel good when i do. Remember, what goes around, comes around :-)
Carmina Stickney: I care. I know people who care. That said, I also know people who don't.And some people care, just not enough (sometimes I think I fall here...).I think our society lends itself to ignoring the individual, so that we all feel sort of lost in the crowd; and it's harder to care because we can't see as easily what there is to care about. Just metal, plastic, and the corporate machine that seems to have become the definition of life to too many people....Show more
Elvin Weichbrodt: ....lessons...life`s not stingy to some, with them.......?xxx
Donte Hamme: I take it you're a cup half empty kind of person... No silver lining? Nothing of value to speak of? Sounds like you live in a miserable world. You should visit... Earth.
Gregory Dilg: As an individual, I will tell you that I care. Life is still a miracle, stil! l precious, still worth living even in what would seem to be a jaded world. Miracles are such small things; look deeper into yourself and others and you will find them.I promise.
Boyce Gilhooly: I really don't know if people actually care or if they just don't know about whats going on in the world. You know there are women who are forced into working 18 hour days in china because there family isn't subsidized enough land to make ends meet. Sex workers in Havana who depend on American or European currency to provide for there families because their jobs as professors don't pay enough. This is because the first world countries have leaders in the IMF and the World Bank who give loans to third world countries only if they comply with their structural adjustment programs. These programs undermine governments authority as maternal care takers for the people by cutting costs on social expenditures such as education, health care and job opportunities across the board. ! This is all done in order to open up free trade across boarders, which ! allows for big corporations to move in, undermining local subsistence farmers and business men but undercutting prices of products that are sold at local markets. Its kinda depressing to know the bad things that are happening in the world. I guess now that i am educated i am prepared to go out and do my part in the world to help the unfortunate. If only people knew or had the heart required to offer a hand in those third world countries where opportunities and mobility are slim to none....Show more
Stevie Kizziar: Oh and I'm not going thru some crisis. Though I appreciate the advice. I'm just asking in lieu of recent events I've witnessed
Hope Lundmark: im putting this up for vote because they are all best answers to me. doesnt help your points. I just hope it helps your soul
Sammy Kar: Here is a problem that you might not seeThere is too many manuals that instruct meSome say this while others say thatBut how am I to know where I am atSo a theory I deve! loped on my ownIt does little good to yammer and moanInstead I have found something that worksI try to improve myself even though it hurtsYes people care as a matter of fact this is trueBut perhaps you seem cold if you went through it tooSo cut us some slack and do not be so judgmentalEven if some of us treat our body like it is a rentalYou asked in the wrong section eh?...Show more
Trena Berum: eh /:
Lorelei Lilburn: I think that not only do people care, but, that they're worried. The economy, people out of jobs, its a scary time. But, you're point that people have no manners anymore might be valid. You see it in drivers, in particular. Its like everyone is in their own little worlds and they don't connect with strangers. I know that I personally try to make a point of smiling at people, or nodding my head, as I pass. Each person has a responsibility in this world to make it a little better in some way. God Bless....Show more
Spencer Heidtbrink: ! Not really. Life may be short, but it seems like we are wasting it. Why! try anymore?
Aron Ramu: i care. i can totally relate to what you re saying.
Charissa Riley: It tells me that the narrator (you) were looking to escape an oppressive, boring, non-attentive person in order to enjoy yourself. But you feel a little bad about doing it.From a form point of view, tighten it up a little. But one way to really make this great is to do the following to end the poem:I don't participate in entertaining the bum.Someone offers me a sample...no glove on that hand!A tear rolls down my cheek. You really don't need the other stuff. Trully. I've been writing, and teaching, poetry for a long time....Show more
Renita Sefton: I give up all hopes on suspensions and violations and just go on without taking on the extra stress.
Nicolas Cooley: Wow...man you ripped it! I love how you wrote this poem, I read it over and over again all of the time! Man, you are something. One of the best poems I heard. You should publish it. I bet you will get ! rich off of it.Purplez
Robt Heemstra: The flow of it reminded me of the same flow that a rap would have. I thought it was cute, and I kind of liked how the last line is kind of strange and unexpected.Good Job!
Raleigh Lufkin: Oh my and you are feeling jaded and cynical. People care more than you know. They are compassionate and giving to total strangers and of you just .....slow....down...enough to observe the little acts of kindness going on under your very nose you will see it's true.
Lyndon Mattas: Oh, Yes! The money is going to be rollin in...very good poem...better'n mine.
Susan Rambo: I have to write a sonnet for school and I have tried syllable checkers but everyone is different can anyone check each line of sonnet its suppose to have 10 syllables on each line THANKS!A big place where I can be at every day,Where I am never judged and can be my self. This place is pretty cheap, there is not a payWhere is this place I talk of all the time?It is ! very big and has lots of lines too,Whistles blow after play sounding a ! chime,My equipment consists of only a knee pad and shoeThe gym is the place with the big tall wall,The place I give the game my complete heart. The fallowing things describe the sport volleyball.I have to play the game intense and very smart.I have to have an open mind and keen eye,When I play I always play hard and reach high....Show more
Caroyln Ebach: Is only living once really an excuse to do things that we know are wrong?
Darwin Ecton: I just wrote this from random scribblings i jotted down earlier, what do you think? This mad worldtied together with confusion, insane actions have become the normin this cracked society.Panic overcastin the miserable grey of sky,Mournful droplets of liquidcry in sympathy of our silent neighborschoked by putrid pollution.Shells of strangers dancearmed with steel and flameto fight the worldan all on one effort madethough the champion is already decided,Our ancient friends will live onarms reaching toward the sky which willsomeday! be hopeful and full of lifeas it once was before man....Show more
