Chanda Wittwer: I'm getting one in about 6 months or less, after my bone graft settles. It's not bad, apparently getting implants is easyer than getting your wisdom teeth out, and I had that, and it wasn't bad at all.An actuall implant surgery for me is estimated at 2000 bucks. Mine is in the "esthetic zone" too, just so you know. A crown will be 800-1200 bucks from my other DDS, and my implant is a two-part that needs no abutment, so that cuts down on that cost. My bone graft will be like almost 700 some dollars, on a bit of a discount.Good luck if you go with an implant. They are certianly considered the standard of best care for replacing a missing tooth, if you have enough bone for them. Esthetically they can certianly do a really good job. Did you know that you probably personally know someone who has gotten an implant? Only after people knew I was getting one that they came out of the woodwork and I know about 3 people who have had one! So talk to your frie! nds and they can tell you about how theirs went....Show more

(Go to "Single Missing Tooth"......"Implant / Fixed Crown")Of course, the total cost depends on :1. How many implants are required2. If you also need bone grafting3. The practice that you go to, which in turn depends on the area and the use of special equipment.Good luck !!...Show more
